Element balance
This section counts how the planets spread across elements and other groups. It's a quick way to see the overall temperament of a chart before reading the details.
What it shows

The bar length shows the share and the number on the right shows the points.
How points are counted
The Sun, the Moon and the planets out to Pluto count. The Sun and Moon get 2 points each, the other eight planets 1 each, for 12 points per group. The Ascendant, nodes and fictitious points don't count.
Hemispheres and quadrants depend on houses, so don't rely on them if the birth time is unknown.
The sample chart is perfectly even: 3 points in each element. The Sun and Venus in Virgo give Earth 3, and Mercury, Saturn and Pluto in Libra give Air 3.
