Privacy and your data

In short: charts are calculated on your device. The server sees only what you save to your profile.

Where the chart is calculated

All calculations run in the browser, with the Swiss Ephemeris on your own device. Birth data isn't sent anywhere to build a chart.

What a link contains

The page address after # holds the chart data: name, date, time, city, coordinates, calculation and forecast settings. Sharing the link shares that data. If the name shouldn't travel, clear “Name” before copying.

These never go into a link:

• life events;
• the chart comment;
• your list of saved charts.

What's stored in the browser

Saved charts, custom lots, wheel settings, theme, language and mode, all in the browser's local storage on this device.

What's stored in your profile

Once you sign in: email, name, saved charts with comments and events, which chart is “mine”, theme, mode and language. The profile server is run by Astrodamus.

Notifications

For morning notifications the server receives the browser subscription, your time zone and the chosen hour. Your phone computes each day's forecast itself (Morning notifications).

Deleting your data

• One chart: “Menu → Delete selected”.
• Everything in your profile: “Manage profile → Delete account and all charts”.
• In the browser: clear the site data for astrodamus.net in your browser settings.
